Bread with Banana Nuts

Ingredients 1/4 cup butter, softened 3/4 cup sugar 2 large eggs, room temperature 3/4 cup mashed ripe banana (about 1 large) 1/2 cup sour cream 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup chopped walnuts Optional: Additional walnuts, semisweet chocolate chips or coarse sugar

Directions Preheat oven to 350°. Blend butter and sugar. Beat each egg carefully after adding it. Stir in banana and sour cream.

 Mix flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt. Stir into butter mixture until moistened. Fold in 1/2 cup walnuts.

Place in a greased 9x5 loaf pan. Sprinkle more walnuts if desired.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, 50-60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan before transferring to wire rack.
